Two teenagers kill a worker at a recycling plant in San Roque

The man who was killed on the morning of this Wednesday, November 29, during a criminal attack that took place around 8:15 in the morning on 32nd Street with Carrera 35, sector of the San Roque neighborhood, in the city of Suroriente of Barranquilla.

Montero Suárez was apparently on his way to an industry recycling plant when he was approached by two teenagers who punched him repeatedly, then fled the scene while running.

Thanks to the community’s quick response, officers from the Barranquilla Metropolitan Police, stationed at a nearby CAI, were able to locate the minors and arrest them. A handmade firearm was found on one of them, which was seized.

Meanwhile, the injured man was taken in a vehicle to Barranquilla General Hospital and his death was reported at this health center.

This is the second crime in the San Roque district within 24 hours. On Tuesday morning, criminals on motorcycles took the life of Roberto Antonio García Torres, 24, just a few blocks from where the attack took place last Wednesday.

According to authorities’ data, a total of 18 murders have been recorded in the city of Suroriente so far in the month of November.
