Two Israelis were killed and eight other people were injured, some seriously, in a shootout at the entrance to Jerusalem, as news broke that the truce in Gaza had been extended for another 24 hours. According to the Jerusalem Post, which cites the police, “two terrorists” opened fire at a bus stop and were killed in circumstances yet to be clarified. First responders detected the death of a 16-year-old girl, shortly afterwards the death of a seventy-year-old man who did not survive his injuries was announced. Highway 1 from the Motsa interchange towards Jerusalem was closed to traffic following the attack. Last year, another terrorist attack at the same bus stop left two Israelis dead.
