Israel-Hamas, the war resumes. “Truce violated”, new bombings begin in Gaza

Here we go again, war shocks the Middle East again after a few days’ break. The Israeli army said it has resumed combat operations in the Gaza Strip after a temporary truce with Hamas expired. The Jewish State, in particular, accuses Palestinian terrorists of having violated the truce, which had been in effect since November 24 and was extended compared to initially expected: according to the Times of Israel, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) say that several rockets were launched from Gaza shortly before 7 am – therefore, shortly before the truce expired – triggering sirens in the country.

Fighter planes carried out a wave of airstrikes against Hamas targets in the Gaza Strip shortly after the resumption of hostilities. And from Israel, precisely from the government, comes a note from the prime minister’s office: “Hamas did not respect its commitment to release all female hostages and launched rockets against Israel. The Israeli government is committed to achieving its war aims. Release all hostages, eliminate Hamas and ensure that Gaza can never threaten the people of Israel again.”
