Criminal records reveal a previous arrest, in 2016, which resulted in a four-year prison sentence, as he was preparing an attack similar to the one that occurred on Saturday night. The President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, shared her shock and sadness in a post on the social network X: “I am shocked and saddened by the senseless terrorist attack that occurred last night in Paris. My thoughts go out to the families of the victims.”
