Pregnant woman stabbed, manhunt begins

A woman was attacked by a man who stabbed her several times before running away. According to several eyewitnesses, the 29-year-old woman, who was in advanced pregnancy, was immediately taken to the hospital and her life is not in danger. The incident took place in Aberfan, a former mining village in Wales, England. Police are searching for the attacker and many schools in the area have been quarantined for the safety of children.

“Local schools have put in place isolation protocols to keep students safe while the incident is ongoing. We continue to ask people to avoid the area so we can manage the incident effectively. The woman was taken to hospital with injuries that are not believed to be serious at this time.” Life-threatening,” police wrote in a statement. Local resident Gareth Jones told the Guardian that the woman “had not been here long and was very pregnant. “She was taking her child to one of the local schools when this man appeared out of nowhere,” he said.

An air ambulance landed near the scene of the attack to take the victim to the University Hospital of Wales in Cardiff as quickly as possible. Jones, 64, said: “Another police helicopter flew over the village and the road was cordoned off. You can see the pillows and blankets people gave the woman to keep her comfortable until the ambulance arrived.”

“I heard screams, at first I thought it was kids playing, then I looked out the window. A lot of people tried to help, a lot of people came out into the street. It’s quite shocking, I hope he’s okay.” Another eyewitness told the BBC: “I knew he had moved here recently.” The attack took place 800 meters away from the 1966 Aberfan disaster, where a landslide at the village school killed 116 children and 28 adults.
