Police managed to arrest two people who stole money from a business in the municipality of Polonuevo.
Local residents from the sector who noticed the incident alerted the authorities to the robbery that took place in the company and were therefore immediately arrested.
According to police, the worker who visited the Supergiros point was intimidated with a firearm so that he would hand over the 1,026,000 pesos that were stolen and later recovered.
The two subjects, who are cousins, were identified as Gilberto Gutiérrez Orozco, 42, and Jesús Pedroza Orozco, 19, and from whom a traumatic weapon was seized.
Gutiérrez Orozco and Pedroza Orozco were made available to the Attorney General’s Office to be prosecuted for theft.
Colonel Jhon Jairo Urrea Rozo, commander of the Atlántico Police, called on citizens to provide any information about criminal acts or that endanger their safety so that these types of crimes are not repeated.
