Professor opened fire: There is a massacre at the university

The perpetrator of the shooting at the University of Nevada in Las Vegas, in which three people died and a fourth person was injured, was a 67-year-old university professor. The man was killed by the police. According to media sources, he had failed to look for a job while in school. Las Vegas metropolitan area sheriff Kevin McMahill said at a press conference that the perpetrator of the massacre had ties to colleges in Georgia and North Carolina.

The shooting occurred near a building known as Beam Hall, outside of which an event dedicated to Lego and other games was held. “The heroic action of some police officers prevented further victimization.” Before the winter break, end-of-term exams were held on the university campus. Terrified students and professors were forced to lock themselves in classrooms and dormitories for hours as the gunman roamed the campus before being killed in a shootout with police.

In 2017, the deadliest mass shooting in modern American history took place in Las Vegas; 60 people died and more than 400 were injured during a music festival. While the students had to hide for a few hours while waiting for the police to take security measures in the area, some people who ran away when they heard the gunshots were later rescued by being shocked.
