Israel raises the alarm in Europe: “Sleeper cells ready to act”

The Israeli army arrested and interrogated “hundreds of suspected terrorists in Gaza, many of whom handed themselves over to us. We used intelligence gathered during interrogations during the fighting.” The announcement was made by Daniel Hagari, spokesman for the Israel Defense Forces. Previously, the website Haaretz had reported the news of the surrender of dozens of Hamas fighters to the Israelis, publishing a photograph of several militiamen on their knees. Now, a few days after the alarm launched by the European Union Commissioner for Home Affairs, Ylva Johansson, a new warning has arrived. During the Christmas holidays, the “sleeper cells” of the Islamic terrorist group would be ready to move from planning to action.

As reported by Il Giornale, the Jewish State’s Diaspora Minister Amichai Chikli issued a communication to the leaders of several European countries, including Italy, the United Kingdom, Germany, Belgium, Denmark and Sweden, and warned the local authorities about the possibility of attacks that would be perpetrated by elements linked to the Islamic movement responsible for the brutality of October 7th. Hamas militiamen, we learned, organized sleeper cells, part of “a complex network of hate” whose activities “have already begun to produce consequences.” For the head of the Israeli Diaspora “this is not the time for ambiguity. Hamas has demonstrated that its objective is to kill Jews wherever they are.”

A plan for railway stations and constant maintenance of the alert level: Minister of the Interior Matteo Piantedosi also recalled the actions implemented by the Ministry of the Interior after October 7, the day of the Hamas attack on Israel, which are consolidated throughout the territory in light of episodes of terrorism in Europe. After the fatal stabbing of a German citizen in Paris at the hands of an alleged Islamic extremist of Iranian origin, two days ago, the minister stated that such news “confirms that the attention we have shown is there and we must be there”.
