Two men were hospitalized after a suspected stabbing. Police were called to Plymouthwood Close in Ely, Cardiff, on Thursday, December 7, following reports of a stabbing in Church Road, Caero.
The alleged incident occurred at around 10:30 pm, two men aged 31 and 37 remain hospitalized. His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening. An Ely resident, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said he saw a large police presence in the area on Thursday night. He said: “I was walking home from work when I saw police vans coming around the corner.
“There were about six or seven police cars and cars and an armed police car. There were about 14 police officers in the area. This morning when I went to work around 8:10, there was still a police officer outside. [a] door”.
A South Wales Police spokeswoman said: “Police were investigating in Plymouthwood Close last night (Thursday, December 7) following reports of a stabbing in Church Road, Carrow, at around 10.30pm.
“Two men, aged 31 and 37, are hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries. “A 40-year-old man was arrested in connection with the incident and has been released on bail pending further enquiries.”
