Four younger siblings, including two twins aged 3 and 4, died in a fire at their home in south London. Since the children were left alone at home, the mother was reported for intentional homicide and abandoning her child.
It’s not yet clear why Deveca Rose, 29, wasn’t home with four young children – three-year-old Leyton and Logan Hoath, and four-year-old Kyson and Bryson Hoath. Fr Dalton Hoath, 28, described his children as “bright, caring and lovely children” and asked the media to respect the family’s grief as they were “completely devastated”.
This tragedy shocked the people of Sutton, where the Hoath family lived. Local football club Sutton United held a minute’s silence for the victims on Saturday. The children’s paternal grandfather, Jason, is well-known in the sporting world because he is responsible for security for AFC Wimbledon, a club that, like Sutton United, plays in League Two.
