Middle East, Netanyahu against Putin: “Dangerous attitude”

In a 50-minute telephone conversation with Vladimir Putin, Benjamin Netanyahu “strongly criticized the dangerous cooperation between Russia and Iran”. This is what we read in a note from the Israeli Prime Minister’s office that reports on the phone call, the second between the two leaders after the one on October 16, in which he also expressed “disappointment” with the words spoken on Friday to the Council of UN security by the Russian representative.

Netanyahu, his office reports, emphasized that “any country that suffered a criminal terrorist attack like the one suffered by Israel would act with no less force than that which his country is using.” The prime minister expressed appreciation for Moscow’s efforts to free an Israeli citizen with Russian citizenship and “said that Israel will use all means, both political and military, to free all hostages.” Furthermore, Netanyahu asked Russia to pressure the Red Cross to carry out visits and guarantee medicines for the hostages still in the hands of Hamas.
