Middle East, Iran’s ultimatum: “If crimes continue in Gaza”

The situation in the Middle East is always on the brink of an even greater abyss. And precisely at these times another threat arrives from the countries that gravitate to the area. This time it is Iran’s turn, which even threatens to close the Mediterranean Sea if the crimes in Gaza continue. A threat that seems like an ultimatum. The real problem is: how will Iran close the Mediterranean Sea if Tehran has no exits to Mare Nostrum?

The deputy commander of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, Mohammad Reza Naghdi, said the Mediterranean Sea could be closed if the United States and its allies continued to commit “crimes” in Gaza, but did not explain how such a closure would be achieved. Iranian media reported this. “Israel’s supporters should expect the closure of the Mediterranean Sea, the Strait of Gibraltar and the rest of the waterways soon,” he said, as quoted by Tasnim. Iran does not border the Mediterranean Sea and it is unclear how the Revolutionary Guards will be able to close it, but Naghdi spoke of “the birth of new resistance forces”. The Red Sea “has become a nightmare for Israel and the United States,” he highlighted.
