Russian propagandist poisoned. He became famous for his call for ‘drowning children’

The former director of the Russian propaganda television RT Anton Kuznetsov-Krasovsky was poisoned. He is in the hospital.

The information was reported by the Kyiv Post website, citing sources in Ukrainian military intelligence.

Kuznetsov-Krasovsky in hospital

On Sunday, Kuznetsov-Krasovsky himself announced on his social media channels that he had been admitted to hospital due to stomach problems.

“Then I lost consciousness. They took me to the clinic. I’m slowly coming back to myself,” he wrote, posting a photo of him in a hospital bed.

According to reports from the Kyiv Post, Kuznetsov-Krasovsky has been poisoned and his condition is said to be worsening.

“Drowning Ukrainian children”

Krasowski became famous when he said in a live program in October 2022 that he would “drown Ukrainian children.”

The disgusting words were spoken during a program hosted by Krasowski. In a conversation with the guest, the journalist referred to the fate of children who are critical of Russia.

The guest on the program, Russian writer Sergei Lukyanenko, talked about his visit to Ukraine in the 1980s, when Ukrainian children told him that their lives would be better if they were not under Moscow’s occupation.

– They should be drowned in Tysyn (a river in Ukraine – ed.). Just drown these children, drown them – Krasowski commented on the writer’s statements, adding that the said children could also be burned alive.

Suspension and apology

The Ukrainian side reacted sharply to the journalist’s statements, describing him as an “inciter of genocide” and calling for the blocking of RT around the world.

The station’s editor-in-chief, Margarita Simonian, described Krasowski’s statements as “disgusting” and suspended him. She also assured that no one in the editorial office shares the journalist’s opinion.

After a wave of criticism, Krasowski apologized for his behavior and said he was “very ashamed.” – Well, these things happen. You’re in the air and you’re rocking it. And you can’t stop. I ask for forgiveness, he said.
