Horror in France. On Christmas night, the bodies of five people were found in a house in the municipality of Meaux, in the north of the country, about 40 kilometers from Paris. The victims are a woman and her four children, as confirmed by prosecutor Jean-Baptiste Bladier.
Investigators immediately began their investigation: The main suspect is the 33-year-old father of the children, who is currently on the run. Investigations were entrusted to the Versailles judicial police: according to the first reconstruction reported in the French media, the 33-year-old man slaughtered his entire family with a bladed weapon and then drove away in a car.
This is the third case of multiple infanticide in France in recent months. In late November, a 41-year-old man went to the police station to confess to the murder of his three daughters, aged 4 to 11, in Alfortville, Val de Marne. But in October, a gendarmerie killed her three daughters and then took her own life at her home in Vemars in the Oise Valley.
