The death toll in a Russian attack on the Zaliznychny station in Kherson, where around 140 civilians were located, is at least one dead. Meanwhile, the commander of the group of Ukrainian armed forces “Tavria”, Oleksandr Tarnavsky, the general who leads the operation on the southern front line and led the operations to liberate Kherson in 2022, admits in an interview with the BBC. “The situation in our area is extremely difficult,” explains Tarnavsky referring to his area of ​​operation, the Southeast, which includes Avdiivka, Marinka and Robotyne.

“The enemy has intensified its actions almost along the entire battle line, we are clearly aware that its strategic objective is the liquidation of the Ukrainian state,” added the Ukrainian general, stressing that Russian forces “continue to attack Avdiivka” in the Donetsk region, “but they are trying to bypass the city.”
