Press release.

A strike that, as explained, was launched on the same day as engineer Eiffel’s death – which occurred on December 27, 1923, at the age of 91. Even today, Eiffel is remembered, not only in France, but throughout the world, as the brilliant creator of a vast architectural heritage, made up of hundreds of works on all continents, as well as inventions in the areas of meteorology and aerodynamics. Precisely for all these reasons, the descendants presented a formal request to transfer their remains to the Pantheon.
