A family was left shocked and “disappointed” after their son’s Christmas present turned out to be a box full of random items, including hangers and putty, rather than a Spider-Man toy as advertised. Kathy Lin said the sealed box her mother-in-law bought looked “normal” on the outside.
The gift was bought by his son, Austin, for Christmas, but when he opened it on Boxing Day, it was full of rubbish. The gift was bought at B&M in Llanelli and cost £45. The family have yet to return to the store to ask what happened. It is the second incident this week in South Wales where toys purchased from B&M are filled with random items.
Nathan Watters, from Neath, said he saw his four-year-old son Peter “explode with frustration and Christmas” at Christmas when the boy’s main gift, a Hot Wheels race track, was filled with items such as hangers and props. wood. Photo Frames You can read more about it here.

In this case, B&M staff told Mr Watters that the mix-up was due to a production problem. Katie has not yet returned to the Trostre store to report the same issue. The outside of the boxes looked normal and the sounds inside or random objects seemed to imitate the parts normally used to make these toys.
In addition to the hangers, mom found a Fila bag and a carry bag full of mold-repellent grout inside the box. She said she was especially concerned about cement mortar, stressing that it could be dangerous to children.

Describing what happened, he said his mother-in-law gave him the gift and he opened it on Boxing Day. “We thought her mother was confused because when we opened it there was a Fila bag and another wrapped inside. She immediately said to my companion: “Take it to the kitchen now because we don’t know what’s in it.” this,” and then when he looked, it was that anti-mold material.

“There were no toys, just hangers and that Fila bag, and inside that bag was a carrying bag wrapped in mold. “My son wasn’t very happy, but I was worried that he had put the medicine in his mouth or that he was a younger child.”

Kathy said it was her son who first noticed something was wrong with the gift when he opened it. The gift should be a Spider-Man toy with cars. He said the two toy cars were still in the box, but the rest of the gift was gone.
“He was the one who turned around and said, ‘Why are there hangers?’ and I got a little mad, and I looked in the box and saw the bag,” Kathy said. “My mother-in-law works a lot, so I think she’s a little disappointed too.”
Kathy said the outside of the box looked good and undamaged. The box looked new. Sealed, undamaged box. “There are two cars, but no real construction kit.”
B&M has been contacted for comment.
