Carmarthenshire streets where you are most likely to be fined for parking

If you received a parking fine whilst parking on the street or in a car park in Carmarthenshire, you have helped rack up hundreds of thousands of pounds in fines collected by your council.

Figures obtained by WalesOnline show that more than £350,000 in fines were collected over a 12-month period from more than 11,000 parking fine reports.

The figures were released following a freedom of information request to Carmarthenshire Council, covering the period between April 2022 and April 2023.

In addition to the total number of fine notices issued and the revenue received from motorists who pay them, we can also reveal the different locations in the county where you are most likely to receive a parking ticket.

Public transport is, in many cases, on its knees, with a series of strikes keeping rail operators in peril and bus services struggling to stay afloat.

But in Wales, the intersection of these and other issues has meant particularly striking changes.

If things get worse, there will obviously be problems to resolve, but people are more divided about which is most urgent. Click here to read the full story.
