The Ukrainian air force reports another massive attack by Russia. Many rockets are headed for Kiev.

Ukrainian air defense systems were activated in response to the Russian drone attack on Kiev Oblast on the night of January 1-2.

Air raid warnings were initially issued in southern Ukraine, several central regions of the country and in Kiev.

The Ukrainian Air Force reported that there was a threat of Russian Tu-95MS aircraft firing cruise missiles and that 16 Russian strategic bombers were in the air.

Kiev Mayor Vitali Klitschko informed on social media about three injured people in the Solomansk region of the capital of Ukraine. The remains of one of the downed rockets are said to have fallen onto the roof of a residential building. Some Kiev residents have problems accessing electricity and water.

The Ukrainian Air Force claims that Russian forces attacked Ukraine with 35 kamikaze drones on Monday night. According to the Ukrainian army, all Shaheds have been shot.

“On the night of January 2, the invaders attacked with 35 attack drones of the Shahed-136/131 type from Cape Chauda in Crimea and the Primorsko-Akhtar region of the Russian Federation. All drones were destroyed by the armed forces and resources of the air force and armed forces of Ukraine,” the statement read.
