Powerful explosions shook the center of Kiev at dawn today after the Ukrainian Air Force warned that many Russian missiles were heading towards the capital. It is the 678th day since the start of the war.
Hit Kyiv and Kharkiv
Rocket fragments fell into many neighborhoods, including residential buildings. Kiev Mayor Vitaly Klitschko reported that 10 people were injured in a fire that broke out after the explosion of a Russian missile in an apartment building in the Solomiansky district of the capital. The northeastern city of Kharkiv was also hit: One person was killed and at least 41 were injured. Air alerts were also triggered in Kherson and Mykolaiv.

“A Russian missile hit a Russian village”
It was observed that one of the Russian missiles launched towards Ukraine malfunctioned and crashed into a village in Russia’s Voronezh region, turning the village into a pile of rubble. The video below is circulating on Telegram.

US Ambassador to Kiev: “Stop Putin immediately”
“While millions of Ukrainians are again in shelters in freezing temperatures, Putin is announcing 2024 by launching missiles at Kiev and across the country. There are violent explosions in Kiev this morning. It is urgent and vital to support Ukraine now and stop Putin.” American Ambassador to Kiev Bridget Brink wrote about this in X and commented on Russia’s heavy attacks on the Ukrainian capital and the rest of the country.
