The second day of this new year, 2024, and the department of Atlántico has already claimed that the first woman was killed during an assassination attempt.
This is Jennifer Paola Barandica Carrillo, 35 years old, who was hit in the head while sitting in a house located at Calle 12A and Carrera 5, in the San Juan Bosco neighborhood of the municipality of Sabanagrande.
Regarding the events, citizen support network groups indicated that it happened around 3:00 in the morning and took place at a time when the victim was sleeping in one of the rooms there.
However, an armed person knocked on the door of the house and Barandica Carrillo was the one who looked outside to ask who he was. When the man stood in front of her, he shot her in the head, causing her to die immediately.
There was also talk on the networks that the victim had recently been mentioned in a pamphlet, named as an alleged member of ‘Los Pepes’ and known by the alias or nickname ‘Jenny Pao’.
In the same form, it was said that the woman devoted herself to pointing out alleged members of other criminal structures engaged in the sale of narcotics in the municipality in question.
