Surprising numbers for a war that has lasted almost two years. The massive Russian attack last night and this morning against Ukraine, which resulted in 5 deaths and numerous injuries, cost Moscow the equivalent of approximately 620 million dollars. The estimate is from the American magazine Forbes and is based on the cost of the 99 missiles and drones launched by Moscow’s forces.
In the first wave of the attack, 35 Shahed 136/131 drones were launched (all destroyed by anti-aircraft). Subsequently, Russian Tu95M bombers launched around seventy Kh-101, Kh-555 and Kh-55 cruise missiles. To these must be added 10 Kinzhal Kh-47M2 missiles launched by Mig-31K fighters, 3 Kalibr cruise missiles, 12 Iskander M/S-300 and S-400 missiles and 4 Kh-31-P anti-radar missiles. The cost of each of these weapons varies between 15 million dollars for the Kh-47 Kinzhal missiles and 13 million for the Kh-101, up to the ‘cheapest’ drones costing 50 thousand dollars. Russia then spent more than half a billion attacking Ukraine in less than 24 hours.
