Belgorod, evacuation begins. And Ukrainian intelligence “claims the operation”

Ukrainian forces shelled the city of Shebekino in Russia’s Belgorod region today, leaving one person injured. Belgorod regional governor Vjacheslav Gladkov wrote on Telegram. The governor added that three industrial companies were hit and power lines also suffered damage. The competent services are working to restore the situation. The governor of the Russian region, on the border with Ukraine, hit by increasingly intense attacks from Kiev, suggested that the inhabitants of the regional capital evacuate. “From today we are ready to transport you to Stary Oskol and Gubkin (places further from the border), where you will find yourself in comfortable conditions, in cozy and safe rooms,” indicated Vyacheslav Gladkov in Telegram.

The Ukrainian intelligence service recently claimed to have carried out an operation in the Russian region of Belgorod, inflicting losses on Moscow’s forces. This was reported by Ukrainska Pravda. DIH has reportedly received intelligence information about an upcoming inspection of senior Russian officers at military posts in the Graivoron district, following several complaints about staff conditions. In preparation for the inspection, some work has started. In order to inflict casualties on enemy troops and undermine their morale, the DIU then sent reconnaissance officers who mined the only road used by the Russians in the area and attacked the position of an enemy platoon. The DIU claims to have inflicted casualties on Russians, hit by small arms fire, mortar shells and mine explosions. We are currently trying to establish the number of Russians killed and injured.
