They identify a man murdered by eleven bullets in ‘Barranquillita’

The man who was shot dead on the afternoon of last Friday, January 12, in the ‘Barranquillita’ sector, in the grain market of this capital, has been identified as José David Martínez Silva, 27 years old and street vendor by profession.

Let’s not forget that a passerby was the one who told Barranquilla Metropolitan Police officers attending the murder trial that “the man came running and collapsed in the middle of the road, all bloody.”

Along these lines, people who were at the scene also said that the victim ran for about 50 meters after receiving a series of bullets.

This version was later confirmed by Sijín experts who conducted the investigation, as they counted eleven shots in the victim’s body.

According to information obtained by the police, the company in the area identified him as an “extortion collector” in the Barranquillita market sector and was acting under the alias ‘Gato Negro’.
