The Public Prosecution Service is indicting the former mayor of Malambo, Rumenigge Monsalve

On the morning of this Monday, January 15, a prosecutor of the city of Bogotá indicted the former mayor of the municipality of Malambo, Atlántico, Rumenigge Monsalve Álvarez, for deception by action and illegal coercion.

It should be noted that the defendant recently left his position as the first authority of the municipality of the Barranquilla metropolitan area, which is now under the power of Mayor Yenis Orozco Bonett.

With regard to the Monsalve Álvarez trial, this medium learned that it is said to be related to an investigation arising from a complaint filed by a former official of the Malambo Local Hospital, who was allegedly pressured to submit her letter of resignation from the management of the hospital facility to sign.

The former ruler apparently did not accept the prosecutor’s accusations and the investigating agency refrained from applying for an arrest warrant against him.

Now we wait for the indictment to be released at the end of February, after which we can go to trial.
