On Tuesday, more than fifty rockets were fired from the Gaza Strip towards the city of Netivot in southern Israel.
This is probably the biggest hit of this type in several weeks. According to the Times of Israel, there is no information about any fatalities.
Local authorities reported the explosion in Netiwot and confirmed that no residents were injured. Other reports indicate damage to a storage facility in the nearby town of Giwolim.
Analysis of videos posted on social media indicates that Israel’s Iron Dome missile defense system successfully destroyed approximately 20 missiles in the Netiwot area.
Let us not forget that the vast majority of the victims of Israel’s campaign in the Gaza Strip are civilians. It is estimated that 90 percent of the Gaza Strip’s more than two million residents have had to leave their homes. The invasion was carried out in response to a massive terrorist attack by Hamas on October 7.
Iran fired on an Israeli facility in Iraq
The situation in the Middle East continues to threaten to escalate further. A day earlier, Iran attacked targets in Iraq and Syria. According to the Revolutionary Guards, one of Israel’s intelligence facilities (Mossad) was destroyed.
The rockets flew towards the Iraqi city of Irbil and struck near the American consulate. The Kurdish Security Council said four civilians were killed and six injured in the attack.
The Iranian Corps released a statement announcing the reason for the attack. “In response to the Zionist regime’s recent atrocities, which resulted in the deaths of the commanders of the Corps and the Axis of the Resistance, one of the main Mossad spy headquarters in the Iraqi Kurdistan region was destroyed by ballistic missiles,” read we. in a statement quoted by Reuters.
