During an operation carried out by the Metropolitan Police of Barranquilla, in collaboration with the support structure of the Public Prosecution Service, EDA, the dismantling of a clandestine adulterated liquor factory in the Las Nieves district was achieved, dealing a heavy blow to the groups criminals who engage in this dangerous activity.
General Herbert Benavidez, commander of the armed institution, spoke about this recent operation, emphasizing that “the dismantling of these types of facilities is one of the priorities in the security strategy in light of the upcoming events (carnivals).”
It should be noted that a case was recently reported of a man who apparently ingested adulterated alcohol and who is today in a vegetative state at a health care center in the north of Barranquilla.
