The Judicial and Criminal Investigation Department, Sijín, and the Police Information System, Sipol, are investigating a recent bloody incident that took place in the municipality of Palmar de Varela, in which a 44-year-old man was killed.
The attack took place in the early hours of this Monday, January 22, at 13th Street and 13th Street, Florencio sector, when the victim was walking in the sector.
Jader Enrique González Muñoz, identified by police as the victim, was approached by two individuals traveling on a motorcycle and they shot him with a firearm, as reported by the Atlántico Police Department.
González was helped by the community and taken to the municipal hospital of Palmar de Varela, where he later died.
This is the second gunshot attack committed so far this month of January 2024 among the population of the Eastern Atlantic. Let’s not forget that last Monday, January 8, a motorcyclist was injured by gunfire in the La Bombonera sector.
The victim, 31 years old, told authorities that as he was driving through Carrera 3 of the aforementioned sector, two men on a motorcycle approached him, who shot him several times, causing him to fall from his vehicle.
The criminals fled, while the injured man was taken to the municipality’s medical center where he was treated.
