The photo was published three days ago, on the eve of the Republican primary in New Hampshire, and was reposted by Trump without much attention. Someone noticed the anomaly and the post went viral

Trump became the first Republican candidate to win both Iowa and New Hampshire. The sole remaining competitor, Nikki Haley, said she was convinced to stay in the race: “This isn’t a sprint, it’s a marathon. This race isn’t over yet, there are still dozens of states to go, and the next race is mine, my dear South Carolina.” If he lost there, too, he would run the risk of actually ending his race.
