Two environmental activists defaced the glass that protects the Mona Lisa at the Louvre museum in Paris by throwing soup on it. The two protesters, as shown in a video posted online, displayed T-shirts with the words “Ripostealimentaire” (“Food response”). This is not the first time that the most famous painting in the world has been the target of demonstrations by climate activists. In May 2022, in fact, an activist threw a cake at Leonardo Da Vinci’s canvas, which was always protected by glass. After vandalizing Leonardo da Vinci’s famous masterpiece, the two overcame the barriers that keep the public away from the painting and chanted some slogans.
