Ricardo Junior Mercado Ariza, 21 years old, died on Sunday, January 28, around 11:30 PM in the Sabanalarga Municipal Hospital, after being wounded by a shot in the La Florida neighborhood of the same city.
Atlántico police only recorded that the victim was riding a motorcycle and was apparently hit by another motorcycle on which other subjects were riding.
When neighbors near Carrera 6 and Calle 26, where the incident took place, heard the explosion, they went to see what was happening and came across the young man lying on the ground and his vehicle next to him.
With the help of the community, Mercado Ariza was taken to the city hospital where his death was confirmed.
Atlantic Police are conducting investigations to determine the circumstances under which the attack on the deceased took place.
