This weekend, Vallenata artist Natalia Curvelo was the victim of a million-dollar robbery while she was in a commercial establishment in the city of Barranquilla.

A Rolex watch worth over 400 million pesos was stolen from the 21-year-old Curvelo. The criminal procedure was carried out by a man armed with a gun, who encountered no resistance from the artist who, upon seeing the weapon, handed over all her belongings.
The crime was committed in broad daylight and was captured on security camera, which shows the criminal entering the store and, without saying a word, drawing his firearm and walking toward the artist.

It was learned from the commercial establishment that it was a pastry shop where, in addition to Curvelo, there were other people who managed to relocate to avoid becoming the target of criminal action.
Given what happened, the artist expressed herself on her Instagram stories, where she described the experience as unpleasant.

“Today I had an unpleasant experience. When what happened to me happened, I considered myself a ‘little man’. I thank God because I am doing well. Certainly, when you already have children, your way of thinking changes,” Curvelo said.
Regarding this crime, it was thought that the theft could be the result of a new case of the procedure of a gang that operated in Barranquilla in recent years hunting for luxury watches, but that version was rejected by General Herbert Benavidez.
“These are not events that happen so often in our city. Of course, we will contact her so that we can file the formal complaint. And of course, we will offer her all our capacity to clarify that fact. And we will continue to work as we have done, as I show you in the results,” Benavidez said at a press conference on Monday.
