63 percent of voters who watched Tuesday’s US presidential debate believed that the current vice president, Democratic candidate Kamala Harris, had won, while 37 percent pointed to the former president, Republican candidate Donald Trump – according to the first poll published by CNN.
Trump: These people eat dogs and cats
Trump, during the debate, mentioned Haitian immigrants who allegedly ate the dogs and cats of residents of Springfield, Ohio. “They eat dogs. These people came to eat cats. They eat the pets of the people who live there,” he argued.
Harris laughed, and the moderator noted that there were no credible reports on the matter. Trump responded that he had seen TV interviews with people who talked about kidnapping and eating their dogs.
Elsewhere, the Republican candidate referenced Germany when talking about energy transformation. He argued that Harris wants to end fracking and fossil fuels, and these are the things that make America strong. – Germany tried it and was back to building normal power plants within a year. We’re not that far off, he said.

The German Foreign Ministry responded to Trump’s statement on social media.
“Whether you like it or not, the German energy system is fully operational, with a share of more than 50% from renewable energy sources. We are closing coal and nuclear power plants, but not building them. Coal will disappear from the electricity grid by 2038 at the latest. PS: Beyond That’s why we don’t eat cats and dogs,” read the profile of the German Foreign Office on website X.
