The Arizona Department of Justice has launched an investigation into whether Donald Trump’s attack on Liz Cheney could be considered a death threat. The businessman spoke about his former party colleague, the daughter of former vice president Dick Cheney, during an election event in Glendale, Arizona. Trump called Cheney a “radical war hawk” and added: “Let’s stand him there with a rifle, nine people. Barrels shooting at him, okay, let’s see how he feels with guns pointed at his face.”
Disagreements between the two are not new. Liz Cheney, a former member of the Republican party, had been harshly critical of the former president and current White House candidate in the past until she was expelled from her own party. Although he did not deny his Republican views in the last election, he expressed his support for Kamala Harris.
