A 47-year-old Italian man, but a long-time resident of the United States, was killed in Temple, Texas. The victim is Paolo Tescari and originally came from Marghera (Venice). According to the information obtained, he was shot and killed by a 17-year-old young man who was stopped by the police. Tescari’s “mistake” would have been to ask for a cigarette.
Paolo Tescari was killed for asking for a cigarette
According to local newspapers, Tescari would ask the minor for cigarettes. It is not clear why, but the boy took out his gun and shot the Italian. The weapon was seized illegally. The murder was apparently committed near a poorhouse canteen frequented by Tescari. It’s a tough life for the man who moved to the US to join some of his family.
His sister, Elisabetta Tescari, writes on Facebook: “Friends near and far, unfortunately what you read about our brother Paolo is true. He passed away yesterday morning. We are deeply saddened not only by his death, but also by the gravity of it. A 17-year-old boy shot him.” and the emergency medical aid given to him was of no use. The boy who committed this crime is already in prison and has apparently already confessed.”
