Lebanon, an Italian Unifil base hit by rockets. Crosetto: “It’s intolerable”

This morning, at around 1:30 p.m., a post of the United Nations Interposition Mission in South Lebanon (Unifil) “in the Shama area, in southern Lebanon, was hit by some rockets launched by the terrorist organization Hezbollah from the area of Al Malkia, southern Lebanon. The Israel Defense Forces reported this in.

The eight rockets hit some open areas and a spare parts warehouse where there were no soldiers. Five Italian soldiers were taken to the infirmary and are under observation, but their condition does not cause concern. “It is intolerable that there are attacks, we cannot tolerate mistakes being repeated with this frequency”: this is what Defense Minister Guido Crosetto said about the incident. The statements were made to journalists in Brussels, on the sidelines of the Foreign Affairs and Defense Council.
