Vladimir Putin said Slovakia has expressed its willingness to “provide a platform” for Russian negotiations with Ukraine. The President of Russia also referred to Poland.
Putin, quoted by Russian news agency TASS, said he was “confident” in the increase in gas prices due to the suspension of the transit of this commodity from the Russian Federation through Ukraine.
The Russian president also referred directly to the war in Ukraine, calling it a “special military operation.” As he noted, he has “reasonably complete information about progress.” According to him, Ukraine “cannot exist independently without European support.”
Putin mentioned Poland. “She closed the route”
Vladimir Putin, referring to energy policy, said that Russia is ready to resume gas transportation through Polish territory.
— Poland has closed the route through its territory. There is an active trail there, no one on it [w przeciwieństwie do Nord Stream] it missed, there was no explosion, it works – said Putin, quoted by Onet.pl.
– Just press the button and it’s done. And it will pass through the territory of Poland. It is called Yamal-Europe, he added.
Russia ready for ‘consultations’ on ending the war?
According to the rosZMI agency, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov stated his willingness to hold “consultations” on ending the conflict, but reiterated that the Kremlin will not be satisfied with a ceasefire in Ukraine.
– Final legal agreements are needed, said the head of Russian diplomacy. Lavrov expressed hope that the Trump administration would delve into the root causes of the conflict and said Russia did not set conditions for negotiations because these were “requirements to fulfill the agreements already concluded.”
At the same time, the Russian Foreign Minister stated that France, through unofficial channels, had proposed several times to Russia to enter into a dialogue on Ukraine without the participation of Kiev. He also cynically commented on Russian attacks on Ukrainian cities, stating that Moscow selects targets based on threats against Russia and that these could also be decision-making centers in Kiev.
Let us not forget that a day earlier Lavrov declared that Russia was not satisfied with the ceasefire in the war with Ukraine.
