The death toll in the shooting that occurred yesterday in Cetinje, Montenegro, is 12. According to initial reconstructions, the attacker broke into a restaurant and, after opening fire, committed suicide. “Twelve people were killed, including two children,” prosecutor Andrijana Nastic told the media, who also raised the hypothesis that the murders were committed in 5 different locations. “An investigation was carried out in each location and evidence was collected that will be taken into consideration. The perpetrator of the homicides committed suicide in the sixth place where the investigations were carried out. in which the event occurred”, he assured.

As the prosecutor pointed out, firstly, in a tavern, four men were killed, in the second four more, and in the third two children were killed. Two more people died at the fourth and fifth crime scenes, while the sixth is where the attacker took his own life. There are also four people injured following the shooting who are hospitalized in serious condition at the Montenegrin city’s Clinical Center. Following the tragic event, the Montenegrin government proclaimed three days of national mourning that begins today. Prime Minister Milojko Spajic has spoken of a possible total weapons ban in the Balkan country.

Guns, Spajic thundered, “should not be on the streets and in the hands of those who could harm others. That is why I will ask the new leaders of the security sector to offer solutions that guarantee the safety of our citizens. appeal for The urgent recruitment of additional police officers will be announced on the first working day.”
