Attack in France. The perpetrator threw a grenade to a place full of customers

There was a brutal attack in Grenoble in southeastern France. An unknown perpetrator threw a grenade in a place full of customers.

As the services have informed, twelve people suffered as a result of the explosion, two of which are in a critical condition.

The incident took place in one of the bars in the city when the place of life was teeming. According to witnesses, the attacker came in, threw the navy blue and immediately left the stage, without saying a word. – Someone came, threw a grenade, apparently did not say a word and then escaped – public prosecutor François Touret de Coucy, present on the site of the tragedy.

Unknown motives from the perpetrator

The daily “Le Dauphiné Libéré”, with reference to the findings of researchers, announced that the perpetrator was also armed with Kalashnikov -although he eventually did not use this weapon.

The motifs of the attacker remain unknown. “There is no specific hypothesis at this stage of the research,” added De Coucy. However, the authorities exclude that it would be a “pure terrorist attack”. Mer Grenoble, Éric Piolle, convicted the event firmly and described it as ‘a criminal act of extreme violence’.

The police do not rule out that the murder had a criminal basis and was associated with drug trafficking and gangs. According to the AFP agency, Grenoble and its suburbs have long been struggling with a wave of violence and the local authorities openly talk about the “gang war”.
