Protests against Trump in the US. “Ukrainians can be deported”

The former Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov suggested that Ukrainians who stay in the US can be deported to participate in protests against Donald Trump and after returning to the country in the army.

On April 5 in Washington there was a demonstration against the policy that US President Donald Trump pursued. “Washington Post” wrote that the organizers initially expected from 10,000 to 20 thousand people, but in the end “the crowd was five times larger than they predicted.” The police were sent to the place and various streets in the city center were closed.

Demonstrants sang the slogans and criticized Trump and billionaire Elon Musk, head of the Department of Government Efficiency (Doge), as well as the secretary of Treasury Scott Bessent, head of Pentagon Pete Hegeseth and other members of the administration.

Former Prime Minister of Ukraine about Ukrainians who protest against Trump: deport and include them in the army

The former Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov stated that “some Americans took to the streets to protest against Trump’s policy, turned out to be Ukrainians and remained illegal in the US.”

“The face recognition system has helped American law enforcement agencies to identify a total of 8,714 people among demonstrators in New York, Washington, Los Angeles, Chicago and Houston,” Azarow wrote in social media.

According to him, 64 percent Ukrainian demonstrators are men of conscripts (from 25 to 47 years old) who – if they are driven out of the United States – can go to the Ukrainian army. “American police officers are planning to stop and deport them quickly,” he added.

In his opinion, Washington is also planning to intensify inspections throughout the country to determine how many illegal immigrants from Ukraine are in America.

Prosecuted by the arrest warrant, he escaped to Russia

Mykola Azarov was the first Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance in the government of Wiktor Yanukovych, in the years 2010-2014 the Prime Minister of Ukraine. After the events in Majdan, he escaped to Russia. Since 2015 he has been wanted by Interpol by international arrest warrant. In 2024, the authorities in Kiev took over him from Ukrainian orders.
