“Often physical lottery tickets are bought by people who live close to the point of sale. That is why we ask everyone in Bleiswijk and the surrounding area to look for the winning ticket FV 74622 at home again.” That says a spokesperson for, among others, the Dutch Lottery, the organization behind the State Lottery.
If we look at the images to see who got the winning ticket, it is not there. Primera employee Sandra: “We get many customers for this and Staatsloterij guarantees the anonymity of the winners. So we don’t know when the lot has been sold,” he says.
Meanwhile, returning customers may not realize that someone hasn’t paid out their rewards yet. The store employee said: “There are all kinds of expressions in the store and we ask all our customers: is it you? We have not yet determined the winner,” explains the store employee. “He probably doesn’t even know yet. There are many people who come to buy their tickets weeks later.”
