UN conducts new operation to remove civilians from Mariupol .  to evacuate

The UN, in collaboration with the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), launched another operation to evacuate civilians from the besieged Ukrainian city Mariupolthe third organized this week.

This was confirmed by the secretary general of the organization, Antonio Guterresin a speech to the Security Council, in which he declined to give details of these ongoing actions so as not to harm them.

The new evacuations will come after Tuesday the UN and the ICRC remove 160 civilians from the Mariúpol area, including 101 people who were sheltered in the steel factory of azovstal, the last stronghold of the Ukrainian resistance in this strategic port city.

At a second operation, on Wednesday, evacuated redo 320 citizens from Mariupol and nearby areas.
