The Constitution Commission Yes Congress Rules of Peru this Friday approved the “archiving of the plan” of a constitutional reform project presented by the government of the president peter castle to promote a Constituent Assembly in the Andean Country.

The project was presented by Castillo on April 25 and proposed a constitutional revision for the convening of a constituent assemblyas well as a referendum to consult citizens in October if they want a new Magna Carta.
In its decision, the committee ensured that the executive project it was “incompatible with the Constitution” and stated that it lacked a rigorous and cost-benefit analysis, as “copies of unquoted texts – plagiarism” were found.
