The court again ruled that the Netherlands had to bring back a group of ISIS women with their children from Syria if the Public Prosecution Service did not want to forfeit their right to prosecute women. The Rotterdam court ruled behind closed doors that 12 women and their 29 children must be rescued within four months.
A spokesman for the court confirmed the decision to the NOS after reporting on De Telegraaf.
The Netherlands wants to indict women who went to Syria to join the terrorist organization ISIS. In order to enable women to defend themselves, they must be brought to the Netherlands, as has been observed in similar cases. This was confirmed in today’s ruling. Never before had the judge ruled on such a large group.
In previous cases, there was always a six-month deadline to bring women here. The Rotterdam judge has now decided that it must be completed within four months.

Earlier this year, the Netherlands rescued five ISIS women and their 11 children from the Kurdish refugee camp Al Roj in northern Syria. They are suspected of being a member of a terrorist organization and/or preparing a terrorist crime.
The cabinet was not in favor of extradition of the women, but decided to do so because they did not want to lose their right to prosecution.
Yesterday, the public prosecutor demanded 8 years in prison against ISIS member İlham B. for membership of a terrorist organization. He was the first Syrian traveler to be taken into Syria by the Dutch government.
