Several people were shot dead in a New York City supermarket, police said, adding that a suspected assailant had been arrested.

Buffalo, New York.- At least 10 people were killed and three were injured. During a Shooting in the supermarket American city Buffalo, In New York State, north of the country.

“Today, at about 2:30 a.m., a person who, according to the mayor, is not from the area and a few hours away, left for Buffalo and went to Top Market. He got out of the car, was very heavily armed, had tactical equipment. He wore a tactical helmet. “He had a camera that would broadcast live what he was doing,” said Buffalo Police Commissioner Joseph Gramaglia.

After shooting four people at a supermarket parking lot, a young man entered the scene and managed to shoot down a security guard while continuing to shoot at people inside. Shortly afterwards, several Buffalo police officers managed to arrest him and take him to the police station, Gramaglia explained.

“We are investigating this incident as a hate crime and a case of racist extremist violence,” Stephen Bellongia, the FBI Buffalo’s special agent, told reporters.

According to US authorities, 11 of the 13 people shot were of African descent and two were Caucasian.

For her part, New York Governor Katie Hochley He wrote on Twitter that he was “closely following the shooting at a grocery store in Buffalo,” his hometown. He noted that the state government has offered assistance to the municipalities.
