Three leaders of motorcycle club Forbidden No Surrender have been sentenced on appeal again to years in prison for leading a criminal organization. They were also convicted of extortion and theft.
Former captain Henk Kuipers was again given the maximum sentence: 8.5 years. That’s less than a decade since he was in court, but the court says it’s practically the same because parole rules have changed in the meantime. Convicts can now be released after serving two years before their sentences end, i.e. two-thirds of that.
According to the ANP report, founder Klaas Otto has to go to jail for three years, just like ‘captain’ Rico R. The fourth member of Unsurrender was sentenced to 30 months in prison, of which 20 were suspended.
A contractor was also charged. He used Kuipers to appropriate business relationships and was sentenced to 22 months in prison, 15 of which were suspended.
