The President of Venezuela, Nicholas Maduro, this Monday accused his Colombian counterpart, Ivan Dukeof being behind the recent attacks allegedly perpetrated against the refineries and the oil country’s electrical system.

“The refineries are subject to to attack of infiltrated enemies, hidden enemies, to harm our refining complexes, to harm our people. Behind it is the right, I condemn it, the wild right, the sold-out right, behind it are the plans of Iván Duque, who is mad, wounded, festering hatred of Venezuela,” Maduro said.

In a meeting with the leadership of the official United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV) and the regional authorities, the president pointed out that this Sunday the Paraguaná Refining Complex (CRP) – located in the west of the country – suffered “a terrorist attack”, which was controlled thanks to security measures.
