British broadcaster ITV has released photos of Prime Minister Johnson cheering with staff during the corona quarantine. There are bottles of wine, other spirits and some snacks on the table. According to ITV, the footage was taken on November 13, 2020, when only two people were allowed to gather inside.
ITV has released four photos stating the public interest they serve. There were at least nine people in the room, but the transmitter couldn’t identify them all. The meeting is said to have been held at the official residence at 10 Downing Street to mark the departure of Lee Cain, head of public relations.
The photos are notable as the prime minister has once again been linked with violating corona rules, an issue that has left him in serious political trouble. Last month, Johnson apologized, not for the first time, for his involvement in the “party gate” incident, but also said it hadn’t occurred to him that the gatherings could be considered a party.
The emergence of new photos showing the Prime Minister raising his glass in a clear festive mood is therefore reported as big news in the British media.
