A Los Angeles court on Wednesday opened a new trial against… Bill Cosbyaccused of sexual abuse to a 16-year-old girl, Judy Huthat the Playboy Mansion in 1974.
This is one of the latest cases for alleged sex crimes against Cosby, 84, who went to jail in 2018 and was issued last year after the Pennsylvania Supreme Court overturned his conviction for a previous civil settlement awarding damages to the victim.
On the first day of the trial taking place in California, Huth’s attorney, Nathan Goldbergsaid Cosby used areas that were safe for the young woman, such as a public park and an arcade, to gain her trust.
According to the indictment, the actor met the young woman while exercising with a friend during the filming of “Let’s Do It Again” and later invited both of them to a playroom at the Playboy Mansion.
