Thousands of farmers flock to Stroe to protest, roads expected to be full

Problems are expected in the early morning hours. Farmers gather in different parts of the country and travel together to the Gelderse Vallei. The organization asked not to drive tractors on the road, which is also prohibited.

A group of farmers was arrested last night, presumably on the A58 highway with tractors. They were arrested by the police near ‘s-Heerenhoek.

First traffic jam

The A12 motorway near The Hague was closed this morning as a precaution. The A2 northwards from Den Bosch fills up quickly.

ANWB calls on travelers who need to be close to the event to postpone their trip if possible. “There was always a lot of people at the Hoevelaken junction, but it is expected that it will now be completely busy. The entire route around it, the A1 and A28 in Amersfoort, the A30 and A12 will also be busy there. Farmers are also likely to use N-roads, but it’s hard to predict what pressures will be.”
